The Advent quiet days are also the occasion for us to let the previous year pass in review and to draw a preliminary conclusion about our passive house.
The main conclusion first: We like our house still :-)
Although in principle the construction phase, of course, was exhausting, but the bottom line is no more wrong than any previous construction also. However, there are still some open issues, even more than 6 months after moving

• The front door is still leaking, several attempts to rectify the window manufacturer had only limited success. A few days ago, we could even ice on the inside (!) Remove the door, and as our faith then stops but that this is the "current state of the art" is. (See photo at end of post)


• We are currently discussing with all parties involved (engineers, architects, heating engineers) the fact that when turned on the auxiliary heating vent the furnace in continuous runs. We have come across some discrepancies between the original concept of the engineer and the final built-in components and just to clarify the process of how the built-in components really are "equivalent" or just not. Sorry, do not behave all parties involved in the discussion particularly cooperative, so we now own (inevitably) become by self-study to experts in constant value control valves ...


• is the exhaust valve of the oven for about 4 days when you turn off strange cracking noises - we will probably again need to consult the customer service

The extreme cold in the past week, our pellet consumption in the meantime to about 15 kg per days has increased, up to date but slightly decreased. Whether all this is in the realm of what would be expected by the theoretical calculations in advance, I am now completely stumped and werde wohl erst nach der kompletten Heizsaison mal nachrechnen.

Erste Erfahrungen

Gerne gebe ich mit diesem Post unsere ersten Erfahrungen mit unserem Passivhaus wieder. Während der "Sommer"-Monate, etwa bis Ende September, hatten wir konstant 21-24 Grad im Haus (trotz Verschattung), der Ofen musste nicht ein einziges Mal anspringen, der die Solaranlage das benoetigte Warmwasser erzeugen konnte. In den letzten 3 Wochen war es allerdings quasi durchgehend trübe und bedeckt - da kann die Solaranlage natürlich wenig ausrichten, entsprechend springt der Ofen 2-3x am Tag fuer jeweils ca. eine halbe Stunde an. Die Zimmertemperatur pendelt aktuell bei 19-22 Grad, allerdings ist die Fußbodenheizung noch gar not in operation and the heating coil for the air only very sporadically.
Overall, the house (solid construction) so not so "lazy" as I had expected mean is, the temperature level changes but (relatively) fast. One reason is the lack of ground heat exchanger, ie the intake air is "just" warmed by the extracted air, not on additional energy from the ground. The same device would also help in the summer, the temperatures in the house a little better to keep in check. We decided in the construction phase for cost reasons, however - I'm not sure if I would make with the knowledge now call for a different decision.
Conclusion: The sun has a huge impact - not only on the hot Waser, but also through the large windows directly to the room temperature.
Whether the frequency of the oven "appropriate" and the current consumption of about 30kg of pellets per week as part of the calculations, I have been able to find not recalculate or - possibly more passive house residents with experience here?
A few additional comments and observations:

Finally, a good tip for all homeowners: Flex should work with sparks in the immediate vicinity of tile should be avoided - zumindst if the flow were not covered. Also, a new bathtub, you can "get" in this way :-) If anyone

It is finished - since 29 May we live in our passive house. Although not all completely finished (including the still missing a few mirrors and lamps, or even such things as toilet paper holder und der Handlauf am Geländer), aber es lässt sich schon gut hier leben :-)

Die Innentemperaturen bewegen sich konstant (auch nachts) zwischen 22 und 24 Grad - hier rächt sich, dass die Jalousien noch nicht funktionieren.

Im Technikraum fand sich letzte Woche Feuchtigkeit unbekannter Herkunft - sowohl Stadtwerke, Sanitärbetrieb als auch Architekt sind noch ratlos. Da wird nochmal eine Spezialfirma ran müssen (die wir schon gut kennen - ich erinnere an die insgesamt 3 BlowerDoor-Tests...), um die genaue Herkunft zu identifizieren.

really unbelievable what has happened in the last few days - and what going to happen has. Laminates have been (in internal activity) completely transferred, wallpapering is almost complete (extend up to two places where screws from the wall - but of which no one knows where they come from or what they are good). The first furniture are moved together with full moving boxes from the old apartment in the new house. The oven works (which is 35 degrees outside temperature is not really important), the ventilation system and that is not solar system. Tile work almost complete - by Wednesday will be added missing base and jointed so that it can be built up on Thursday the kitchen. The first Outside blinds are attached (and I like visually very good), but you do not really dark, as they are placed quite far in front of the window opening, so we are looking for blinds or Venetian blinds for the bedroom.

The tiles are laid almost all (except for the floor tiles in the bathroom), in the bedroom already is laminate, and almost all soils are again in film wrapped - follows the interior plaster.
